I've kept working on the Offbeat News segment, and through trials and tribulations, it's come out pretty well. Since the beginning (or rather, since after the first show) I wanted to take it to the next level by adding a blog or otherwise and internet presence for it.
So for that reason, I've created a blog for it - you can see it at http://offbeatnewswithtom.blogspot.com/.
I'll be posting stuff there that's directly related to Offbeat News, and of course, I'll be advertising it on the segment as well.
Enjoy!

The second episode of Offbeat news with Tomás Monzón aired today on the SMSH newscast! On this episode, I'm talking about lowr death rates being linked to summer vacation, as well as introducing a new segment, featuring some of the funniest Internet video.
I'm also thinking of opening up a blog directly related to Offbeat News, as it's obvious I'll be doing this segment for a while (which I'm ecstatic about!!!! :D). More on that in the next post here on the website!
Watch it now on the Youtube page! Enjoy!

Hey everyone! As you guys might know, I participate at the newscast at my high school, and this year I'll be producing the Offbeat News segment.
Basically, it'll be that - just offbeat, weird, and hopefully uplifting news, to add a comical spin to the usual school and world news.
But, of course, I'll strive to make it as interesting as possible. The debut aired on Sept. 23, 2009 (Wednesday) on the newscast, and I've uploaded it to the New Movies! page for everyone to see.
Enjoy, and please visit www.SMCobraTV.com to see more pictures and videos from our newscast!

Hey everyone! On a more disappointing note today, I am reporting the cancellation of Tomás at Large Online; the Internet late show that was until recently being produced by Visionary Productions by Tomás. The following is the message sent to the cast and crew of the show:
" Hey everyone. Due to personal and for permission reasons, I've decided to cancel Tomás at Large Online; the show, as a whole. It was a project that I truly wanted to see completed, but for various reasons, I've very unfortunately had to cancel it.
The production/band meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Sat. 9/12/09, is also cancelled as well.
You guys are a great crew, and without a doubt, I will definitely look to you guys for talent for other film productions in the future. In any case, I hope that someone might in the future look upon the idea as one that could be adapted into a full - fledged production. I have good faith belief that the objective of the show: a family feeling, abode anything else - is great, and that it can be used to good effect in a production. For this reason, I will be advertising the idea across the web - on the website, on my blog, Facebook, the Videomaker Lounge, etc. - and across my friends and family as well.
Thank you all for your support,
hope to work with you all again sometime,
Tomás Monzón
Visionary Productions by Tomás

For those of you whom were looking forward to the show, I am very sorry that its production has been cancelled - I myself am disappointed, but it had to be done due to various, mostly family and personal reasons.
Of course, this does not in any way mean that Visionary Productions is dead! Check back soon for the next project.
Thanks guys! See you again soon!

Hello, everyone! A few weeks ago, the first Tomás at Large Production meeting was held! It was a great turnout (about 10 people) and all that came are really excited about the project. We had a lot of good ideas and very good exchange between one another, and the crew is really looking forward to making a great product. But enough of this pretty word talk - you guys want to know what's going on!
So, I've decided to make a category here at the Visionary Productions by Tomás blog, through whcih you can look at all the news posts related to Tomás at Large Online. On the next post, I'll be posting the show description, and two ideas in particular that we're already scripting and working on.
Enjoy, everyone!

Hey everyone! Seeing the growing popularirty of Facebook, as well as seeing that very many people are on it (those two words, in fact, fail to even slightly do it justice), and also, seeing I have a Facebook account myself, I decided to create a Facebook page for Visionary Productions.
Basically, the Facebook page will be used mostly by me and the crew members to organize meetings and to post important information about film projects, but of course, the public is allowed to look at all of these!
As far as photos, they will be posted both there, on Picasa Web Albums (as has always been done in the past) and of course, they will be shown here on the website as well.
Click here to go check out the new Page, and hope you enjoy it! Of course, if you have a Facebook account yourself, become a fan today!

Hey guys! I've got a brand new video for you! Shot May 2009, this English class project, documenting the life of Holden Caulfield, from J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, is sure to rock your funny bones!
Cliché. I know. But really, it's a mix of comedy with serious interview. I hope you like it.
See it now on the Movies page!
